It's a useful program in case you forgot the passwords for your private password-protected zip files. The program offers you two recovery methods: dictionary and bruteforce.
The dictionary option tries all the words from a text file you specify for a possible match. The program comes with a text file that contains lots of common English words but you can always click "Get Dictionary List" button to download a list of all English words from the program's website. Also you can create a list with the possible words of the password and have the program check them.
The bruteforce method allows you to specify the search range of the password. You can also set the password length as a range or set the exact length of the password. The password length option can be used in combination with the character set option, where you can set the bruteforce method to use only letters, only numbers, or both without the custom characters (eg. `~!@#$%^&*()_-=+). You can also set the method to use only the custom characters to search. However, you can't use custom characters combined with letters or numbers - which is a bit of a downside.
All in all, it's a simple program that helps you recover passwords from zip files with a number options.
